Dear Edo Forsythe,

Thank you so much for your comment and suggestion regarding 8-week collaboration sessions.
I completely agree that we should take advantage of the technology we have to bring our learners together.
Best of luck with all your current and future projects.

This is an excellent overview of online intercultural collaborations and provides good tips for how one can begin to add such a project to your language classroom. I’ve been doing online collaborations for years and they are a wonderful way to expose students to foreign cultures and languages. For people interested in EFL-based collaboration, check out the IVEProject.com program that runs twice per year for 8-week sessions. It’s free and well organized and gives English learners around the world a chance to interact in English with other learners.

Let’s keep using technology to bring our language learners together with other speakers if their target language!!!
