What stood out to me was how the bilingual slides and pre-event scaffolding made the cultural material accessible without reducing the event to translation alone. I maintain a free Old English translation tool, so I often see the difference between looking up words and actually building context around a language. The decision to give teams more synchronous time in a future iteration seems especially important: the negotiation of meaning among learners may be as valuable as the trivia answers.
