About The FLTMAG
The FLTMAG is an open access quarterly practice-oriented online publication dedicated to the field of language technology founded in July 2012. In summer 2018, The FLTMAG became an IALLT publication. IALLT is the International Association for Language Learning Technology, a professional organization that provides leadership in the integration of instructional technology into the language classroom.
Our goal is to provide useful and practical information about technology integration in the classroom such as emerging technologies, interesting books, classroom projects, institutional initiatives, conferences and symposiums and language centers worldwide. We are a public forum promoting engaged and productive discussions around burning issues in the field of language technology in the U.S. and beyond. We welcome submissions on topics related to language teaching and learning and technology, including literature, culture, and film.
The FLTMAG‘s Review Process
The FLTMAG uses an open peer review / editorial review process. All submissions are reviewed by at least two reviewers. Some reviewers are from the Editorial Board of The FLTMAG, and some reviewers come from our pool of outside reviewers. Our review is an open review process, where the identity of both authors and reviewers is known. While there is a place for double blind peer review, we believe that open review works well for our journal because it encourages a kinder review process and has the potential to make connections between members of our community. Decisions about the acceptance of manuscripts are ultimately made by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the Editorial Board.
Open Access at The FLTMAG
The FLTMAG is also completely open access and does not charge readers or authors. Authors retain copyright and grant The FLTMAG right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/).
The FLTMAG encourages a wide diversity of fact and opinion on the use of technology in language learning. The opinions expressed in The FLTMAG are those of the author(s) and do not reflect the views of the editorial team.

Publication Ethics Statement
Authorship: All work should be original and not previously published elsewhere. Any form of plagiarism is unacceptable.
Complaints and appeals, Research misconduct: We take ethics seriously and will investigate any complaints or allegations of misconduct. We will strive to follow the COPE Core Practice Guidance.
Conflicts of interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest to the editorial team. These may include financial, personal, or academic conflicts of interest.
Data sharing and reproducibility: We encourage authors to share data publicly whenever possible.
Ethical oversight: Ethical oversight includes policies on consent to publication, publication on vulnerable populations, ethical conduct of research using animals, ethical conduct of research using human subjects, handling confidential data and ethical business/marketing practices. Any suspicion of violation of ethical oversight should be reported to the editorial team.
Intellectual property: Authors retain rights to their intellectual property, and agree that The FLTMAG will publish their work under a CC-BY-NC license.
Post-publication discussions: The FLTMAG may publish post-publication discussions after review, usually giving the original author an opportunity to respond.
Corrections and retractions: In case of any errors or inaccuracies found in published articles, we will publish corrections or retractions as soon as possible. Any allegations of misconduct will be investigated.
